"Honest to Fish" Warranty

   If you are anything like me, fishing is more than a hobby. Its peace found right here on earth. The last thing you need during this time of peace and mental clarity, is to worry about the rod in your hands. That's why I build all of my rods with patience and care. I don't cut corners; I build it right the first time. If your rod breaks in the field, due to a bad part or component, you are covered 100%.

   However, I also understand that mistakes happen, and the adrenaline of a big fish on the hook can make that problem worse. I don't believe you should ever be punished for being human, and certainly not for being honest. If an accident ever befalls one of my rods, and you tell me exactly what happened, ill fix it for the cost of the materials and shipping. My time is donated for free in this case, with no markup whatsoever on material. Let's get you back on the water!

• All rods made and sold by Hoffman’s Custom Rods come with an original owner, lifetime warranty on workmanship and materials. If any part of your rod fails under intended use and care, it will be repaired or replaced as deemed necessary. In most cases, in order to avoid fraudulent claims, the customer will be responsible for shipping the broken rod & or parts back to us.

• Rods that are damaged due to accidents or abnormal use, (such as but not limited to: drops, slammed in car doors/trunks, being stepped on, ran over, hooksets into the side of the boat, excessive force, negligence of care, etc.) are not subject to the parts and labor lifetime warranty. However, if you are honest and upfront about the circumstances of the break, we are happy to assist you with repairing the broken rod for the cost of parts and shipping. No additional markup will ever be charged in this case. 

• Warranty claims may be made by emailing hoffmanscustomrods@gmail.com using the subject line: Warranty Claim (your name). Please include a detailed account of what happened, when, and leading up to the problem. Please include as many photos or videos of the damage or incident as possible.

• Each rod sold by Hoffman’s Custom Rods has a serial number associated with it, and is logged along with the name and contact info of the purchaser. This allows us to keep track of the original purchaser of the rod, as the warranty is only applicable to the original owner, or is transferable when gifting a new condition rod, and not as a used rod. ​

• We reserve the right to refuse any warranty claim that is found to be fraudulent, dishonest, or against our policies.
